Lovely unpretentious taverna serving delicious food. I found this years ago and have been returning ever since. The hosts are so warm friendly and charming. The food is wonderful authentic Cretan cuisine which is cooked with love and kindness. The drive is challenging but well worth it as the views are breathtaking. The food is incredibly reasonable too. We visited the Aetofolia for a meal on our last evening of the holiday. Completely taken away by the amazing views and service from Chrysanthi and the rest of her family. No menu, just a choice of wonderful local dishes what was on offer on the day. It was the perfect end to our trip, and would 100% visit again if we were back in the area. Amazing! The food was delicious, beautiful views, and the bill was the best part: €41 fed a family of 2 adults and 2 kids (2 meat dishes, tzatziki, dakos, Greek salad, and wine).
