This “top rated” ranking puts the Fichti in fictitious. The first warning sign was the telltale sound of the shutting of a microwave door and subsequent whir of its operation. We were then served a heaping plate of dry meat. The waiter tried bamboozling us with a green salad that looked wilted and sad after a day on the kitchen counter instead of our order of Xorta (Greece’s signature stewed greens). He then offered us some pathetic looking pieces of beet instead, when we pointed out the mistake. This was our only regrettable meal in this fine country. The place seems to be very active at any hour, always almost full, with couples waiting in queue for half hours as well. We were lucky yesterday night to be able to sit right away as soon as we arrived.
Order was taken with the right timing, leaving us time to read through the entire menu.
We ate tsatziki, marinated eggplant and stuffed vine leaves as starter, meat (pork and beef) as main dish. Everything was well cooked, tasty and served quickly. We didn't order any desert as we were full, they did not serve coffee.

Read moreExcellent Greek cuisine! We ordered the cheese pie, pork roasted, grilled pork, Greek salad, moussaka. The cheese pie is a nice flakey pastry with crumbled cheese filling and some melting cheese on top. Grilled pork was a little bit dry but went super well with the red sauce and tzatziki.
Staff were friendly and polite. The waiter check on us periodically but did not intrude.
