We went here one evening as it had good ratings and was close enough to our location.
The taxi ride was a bit dodgy as the roads are soooo narrow but it's a tiny little local restaurant and was almost full when we got there. It's a family run place and both the girl looking after us and her dad were so friendly and lovely. We also had a baby and although space is restricted and there was no high chair, everyone was so friendly and accommodating, esp the dad (owner?) who really engaged with our baby and even took hold of her a few times. She loved all the love and attention.
We ordered lamb chops, souvlaki, greek salad, tzatziki, fries and some house wine, and the food was lovely...and every dish was enjoyable. At the end, we were served complimentary ice lollies and whisky we were waiting for our taxi, they brought us even more complimentary house wine by the carafe.
The bill at the end was very reasonable as well.
All in all extremely cute little spot with delicious food, friendly service and...
Read moreI swear this restaurant is a whole experience for itself. For starters if you’re not from the island, and you’re using Google maps to get here some of the streets that it recommends are extremely sketchy. So be careful.
Although, however chaotic the drive to get here is it’s 100% worth it.
This is still a real Taverna, you hear more Greek than English or German. The service, does their best to help you translate the menu that is only in Greek. And the food tastes like it comes from a place that cooks with passion, instead of just trying to earn money off of tourists.
(Of course I don’t want this to become a tourist hotspot because it’s important for the people of the island to still have a place to get a delicious affordable meal.)
Though I still wanted to rate this place because I wanted to express my gratitude for the delicious food and overall experience !
Just beware of the extreme amount of cats that are very cute and all want to eat your...
Read moreA true gem in a Corfu village! To Rodon is a small, cozy restaurant that truly stands out. The food was absolutely delicious – especially the tzatziki, the lamb, and the meatballs. Everything tasted fresh, homemade, and full of flavor.
But what truly made the experience special was the service. It’s clear that the owner himself greets and serves the guests, and he does it with such warmth, sincerity, and joy that you instantly feel welcome. He meets everyone with a smile and sees them off with genuine kindness – it’s rare to find such heartfelt hospitality.
Highly recommended for anyone looking to experience authentic Greek flavors and the true spirit of Greek...
