A Magical Night at Rivendel – A Place That Touched My Heart

I don’t often write reviews, but some experiences leave such a deep imprint on your soul that you simply have to share them. Our evening at Rivendel Restaurant in Corfu was not just a dinner—it was a memory my family will carry for the rest of my life.

From the moment we arrived, we were embraced with warmth—not just by the sun setting over the beautiful island, but by the wonderful owners and their exceptional team. There was something so genuine about the way they welcomed us, as if we were old friends returning home.

The food? Divine. Each dish was a love letter to Greek tradition—rich, soulful, and made with the kind of care that only comes from true passion. The domestic specialties brought back the feeling of a home-cooked meal, elevated by decades of tradition. Every bite was a celebration of Corfu’s spirit.

And then came the magic.

The owner picked up his bouzouki—and the restaurant transformed. The strings sang with emotion, laughter filled the air, and before we knew it, he was teaching us to dance a Greek dance.There we were—strangers becoming family, hearts full and feet learning the rhythm of a culture so rich and alive.

The ambiance was perfection—charming, warm, and filled with joy. It wasn’t just the music or the food or the setting—it was the soul of Rivendel that captured us. You can’t fake that kind of love and passion. It’s in the details, in every smile from the staff, in every note of the music, and every step of the dance.

Rivendel isn’t just a restaurant. It’s an experience. It’s a feeling. And it’s a reminder that hospitality, when done with heart, can touch you deeply.

There’s a reason this restaurant has 5 stars- the service and food are unmatched!

We visited and ordered the tzatziki, bread, Greek salad, imam and the mousaka. It was all so delicious and clearly made with love and attention.

The food was genuinely so good that we came back a second time tonight to try the dessert. We ordered the milk pie and the Greek yogurt with rose jam. Both were amazing and I’d recommend if you’re not too full!

The owner Nik was super attentive throughout the whole dining experience and was also extremely personable. He asked many questions about us with genuine interest and it was a pleasure getting to know him. When we came back the second time tonight he remembered us and we had a lovely conversation with him and his wife who is the chef.

We were so happy to come across Rivendell Restaurant; it was absolutely our favourite meal we had on the whole of Corfu! I really hope to come...

It feels like you visit your family for dinner. The people that work there will always make sure that you are happy and satisfied. They trest you like they know you their whole life and you just feel that everyone there puts their soul into the restaurant. The food was always amazing, fresh, self-made and in general just the best food we tried on our 10-day trip on Korfu. Your stay is accomodated by some cats and dogs that belong to the family aswell and guard you safely to a culinary trip to heaven. I can not describe how kind the owner and his family always greeted and served us. They deserve six out of five stars if i could give it to them.
