What a find!
This place is paradise. The food is wonderful and the views are spectacular. Lovely to be up in the hills on 34 degree days as it is cooler and there is a pleasant breeze.
Another thing that I have really appreciated about Sokraki Villas is the service. I am travelling solo and working and this is the first place in Corfu I have been treated just the same as couples and families. I feel welcome and I don't feel judged for being alone. The wifi here is perfectly good to work and it's lovely being able to sit at a comfortable table outside and still manage to get some work done. I can go for a quick dip in the amazing pool between meetings too! As a remote worker, this place ticks all the boxes.
5 minutes walk away is the beautiful little village of Sokraki with a new Olive Oil Museum and some lovely little cafes. Honestly, the warmth and the service up here is on another level to what you get down by the coast.
Please do order their speciality sausage dish if you come to eat at the Taverna - wow! I was a little concerned that the property is remote, but I am so happy I booked to stay here.
Thank you to all the family and staff who made me feel so welcome. With special thanks to Anastassis who helped me with directions and help with booking taxis to the airport.

Read moreLocated in a 14th century mountain village, Sokraki Villas' restaurant was the best meal we had while in Corfu. Stopping in right at 19.00 when they open on a Tuesday evening in August, here's our experience.
Other dishes we ordered were the anchovies, holoumi, and talagani cheese. All were delicious!
Drinks: If you like local sweet drinks, order the "Corfuland." It comes with kumquat liqueur. My wife and friend enjoyed their negronis. Their bottles of water are very cold.
Service: It's excellent, especially the main man's son, who is a great worker. Service was quick and friendly.
The space itself is beautiful and there's a lookout point nearby down...
Read moreThe “room” we slept in was the entrance/hallway of the big house and it felt like it! You sleep in a tiny space between 2 main entrance doors, no space, shower over your toilet with water dripping in the room, a fan that makes a noice like a helicopter, a small hard bed. We had a terrible night.
Season is not even started yet and we payed over 60euros - price vs quality is not ok.
Kettle but no thee bags or theecups. Old crystallized instant coffee, olive-oil but no salt or pepper. A small welkome liquor but no water. No bedside table or lamps, huge tv that does nothing…
It wasn’t all bad! Dimitri the guy who welcomed us was very friendly. They arranged for us a place where we can eat as everything was closed because of low season. The fruit en traditional liquor for welkome is nice and the terras had nice views. We could use the airconditioner to warm...
