To Gefiri Café Restaurant — Restaurant in Municipality of Central Corfu and Diapontia Islands

One of the best and cheapest (in a goood way) restaurants we've eaten at in all of Corfu. Filled exclusively with locals. The waitress did speak english though, and even though they told us to wait a bit for some dishes (in a less appealing tone), the food itself and the whole experience was great. Only one or two other restaurants in Corfu had similar quality purely local dishes with no Italian influences. It was delicious and when we return to Corfu, we'll definetly come back to To Gefuri to eat...

We came here 10+ times in 2016/2017 and really liked it here. Now we got a bit of a lesser experience. Reduced menu (with a lot of our favorite dishes removed), more attention to locals (kitchen open only after 12:00 for tourists, but locals already got fried snacks way in advance) and one of the souvlaki's was burnt. This taverna presents itself in a very authentic and local way. If you want to taste real Greek food, this is the place.

I have to admit they have the best pita chicken in all the island with big portions and very tasty ingredients! All for only 2.5 euro (yes, not a typo).

Prices are very good and quality is amazing. We had also super tasty bread with zaziki.

Service is friendly and fast.

A lot of locals come eating here and I would definitely return
