I am writing in English so that i can share my experience with people coming from countries other than Greece. The experience i am so eager and happy to share with chania visitors/tourists etc is that of "greek coffee". Most people that visit Greece for the first time probably have never tasted or heard of greek coffee. Those of them that have tasted it or want to taste it, are usually searching travel applications or search machines in their browsers... And usually they end up un a traditionally looking store in the old town of chania. However, that doesn't mean they will get anywhere near at tasting a properly prepared, decent greek coffee. Old style chairs, wooden or marble made tables, antique tools and cookware, small old fashioned cups and black - and - white photos, are not a certificate for quality coffee blend and skilled coffee makers... Now, if you have read that far it means that you are curious for greek coffee... It won't take much longer... As a great Greek - coffee fan i have tasted greek coffee in every city - town - village i have visited. I have been quite disappointed by places selling decoration instead of blend, skills, scent and...taste. You can get lousy greek coffee almost everywhere and there is no way to tell before you actually get your nose and your lips near the coffee cup. Dear friends the reason i wrote that much is because thiw place was a great surprise... these people know of quality coffee crafting ... I got into their shop two days ago, just to get a first early morning shot of greek coffee in a place that seemed to me another modern, tourist - oriented breakfast store. I ordered two double cups of greek coffee. I was surprised when i noticed that the young lady behind the bench reached out for a "briki" (traditional coffee pot). Then i immediately persuaded myself that she was probably using it just to put it under the hot steam of the espresso machine and "fry" instead of slowly boil the greek coffee. But that wasn't the case... She used a gas stove (gkazaki) to boil the coffee!!! It takes like twice as long to prepare greek coffee this way and even if you do there is no guarantee that you will get the right result... Because you also need proper temperature, skills and of course the proper coffee blend... There people have it all!! It was a shocking suprise for me tasting such a strong flavoured quality greek coffee in place ran by such young people... I am telling you... These people are coffee lovers ... I haven't tasted the rest of the menu though it seemed very well prepared - next time i will certainly do But the "kaimaki", the scent and the taste of that coffee in such a low price was just the best surprise for me... Visit,...

Read moreSuch a great place for a healthy breakfast. Which is really hard to find in Chania in my opinion. I had the “light and healthy” option and it was absolutely delicious!!! It came with fresh juice, healthy quinoa dry fruit bowl, super yummy vegetarian tortilla and a big fruit bowl. And I won’t even tell you the price. My friends got the Shakshuka and other egg option. You have croissants, great bread. Just everything ones need to have a hearty healthy brunch. Very satisfied and will come again for sure. The owners are ultra...
