I've been to Greece 6 times, 3 of them in Samos. I love Greek food, culture, and people. All Greek people that I met were very kind, generous, and friendly except the manager of this beach.
It was 5 pm, when we arrived to Tsamadou beach then we saw another beach called Navagos. In the front of it, there was a signboard on which was written free sunbeds. I had a beer there. We were for approximately 45 minutes there. When we were leaving we asked for the bill. A waitress said to us two sun beds and beer are 13.5(10 for sunbeds, 3.5 for beer) euros. I said it says free sunbeds on the signboard, why we pay for it? She said it was not her problem, I could talk to another waitress. Another waitress came and said the same words and he added, “you can speak with the manager”. We went to the manager. First, they spoke between them, and the young man said to us that was okay, we could pay just for beer. The manager asked us where we were from. At that moment I did not realize what was the meaning of this question. I said we are from Turkey. After that, he yelled « now, it is clear, I understand, of course, you are from Turkey». He was yelling, and he was very rude. I didn't say anything because I was shocked and I was even not sure he is a reasonable man. I had never faced this kind of racist behavior in Greece until this. When we were leaving he was continuing to yell and threaten me that if I write this somewhere I would see(I didn’t understand what he meant). I hope he will fix his behaviors.

Read moreThe sea at Navagos Beach is pebbly, like much of the island, but still very beautiful. The beach has sunbeds on the pebble area by the sea as well as on terraced grassy platforms. On the top level, there is a dining area. However, seating is limited both in number and comfort; you may want to sit at a table or a cozy chair, but finding a spot can be difficult.
The facility is not very large, so it’s best to go and reserve sunbeds before 11:00 AM. If your chosen spot has already been booked, they may move you elsewhere; it would be helpful if the management displayed reservation information on the sunbeds in advance.
The food and drinks on the menu are tasty, but the service is not very professional. For example, after breakfast, we were told we needed to leave within 4 minutes for a new customer—this should have been communicated politely in advance. When we provided feedback at checkout, it was not taken seriously. The location is advantageous since there are not many nice facilities on the island, but if you’re looking for a more courteous and professional experience, Psili Ammos is a better choice.
Overall, the beach is beautiful and enjoyable, but the service could use significant improvement to meet guest...

During our previous visit, despite the owner’s rude behavior, his attitude suddenly changed after we paid a high bill (around €400). Because of this, we decided to give the place a second chance. Unfortunately, even though we had ordered, we were told—quite harshly and aggressively—that working on a laptop at the table was not allowed. The place was nearly empty, yet one of us was asked to move away from the group to sit under a tree. Other guests were also warned in a loud and unpleasant manner that photography was forbidden. Without asking how long we planned to stay or whether we would order more, we were told we couldn’t sit longer than two hours—again in a scolding tone. Despite giving this place another chance, we encountered the same unfriendly attitude and left disappointed. Rules are understandable, but the way they are communicated here is hostile and unwelcoming.
Edit; Our review did not contain any insults, nor did it include even the slightest negative reference to any country or its people. Yet the response we received clearly reflects the venue’s overall approach to hospitality and communication.
Having traveled to 82 countries so far, I have never encountered such a manner of addressing guests. Rules may exist — and should — but the way they are communicated is just as important as the rules themselves.
