Perched above an idyllic landscape, Nisia tis Panagias - Alexandra offers a breathtaking view—an ideal spot to enjoy the sunset over the light blue-green waters of Elafonisos. The setting alone is worth the visit, but what makes the experience truly memorable is the warmth and attentiveness of the staff.

Every dish we tried was simply outstanding. This is what we in Greece call "fai tis mamas"—comforting, home-style cooking made with love. The presentation matched the food’s authenticity, served by a kind and efficient team that made us feel truly welcome.

From the humble but exquisite moussaka and pastitsio served in ceramic bowls, to the roasted squid, shrimps, fish risotto, and the heartwarming giouvarlakia (Greek meatballs in egg-lemon sauce)—every bite was of top quality. An exceptional value for money.

Ms. Alexandra, the owner and head cook, is a humble and gracious host. Her cooking is rooted in traditional Greek recipes, using excellent quality ingredients and executed with care.

What stood out even further was the peacefulness of the entire dining experience. No kitchen clatter, no loud voices—just calm, quiet service that beautifully complements the serene environment.

Beautiful spot overlooking the sunset. Spacious COVID-19 convenient place. Bear in mind no reservations are taken and you have to wait in line. After we were given a table we were told that all the cooked dishes were over and we could only order a la carte. Fish ( fried anchovies and grilled sardines) were barely acceptable. The salad tasted weirdly poisonous. After we inquired we were told that it was probably the disinfectant they use on their hands before they chop the cucumbers and the tomatoes and even confirmed that the same thing happened the other day when someone complained that the bread tasted very acidic! I will kindly and respectfully disagree with each and every one negative review. Yes, I've read them all. Yes, the foremost reason you want to visit is the views. Trust me, spe cta cul ar. The prices? Might be slightly slightly above average for a local. But hey, in return you get fantastic food, good variation in choices, extraordinarily good service. I'm Greek living abroad for decades, I dare to say that was the best moussaka I've eaten to day. We only had an extensive lunch, so i cant comment on every dish, but it was spectacular, every dish.
