Anyone who cooks fresh meals regularly at home will know how dissapointing some restaurants can be. Well at Taverna Katerina this is not the case, you can enjoy superbly cooked meals and salads made with fresh local (much of it from their garden) produce. Self pressed olive oil...the best olive oil 'liquid gold'. Home made wines and self distilled raki...better than Grappa! Don't miss out on the 'daily dishes' they are always delicious. This is a family run Taverna with a beautiful garden at the back, with seating under fig and olive trees. If you have time work your way through the daily dishes and menu, a culinary journey! Take time to try the fresh fruit brought at the end...

The quality of the food here is amazing. So fresh, made with love and very delicious. The family running the Tavern is very kind and open hearted. For us the best part of every day here is Manoulis greeting us with a smile and putting the best food of crete infront of us. And surprisingly the prices are low especially when you are used to pay a ton if money for great food. Dolmadakia, Saganakis, Chicken Souvlakia try them...
