We visited this restaurant in June, a quiet time with few tourists, when it’s understandable that the menu might be limited. However, the fact that less than 10% of the advertised dishes were actually available was disappointing. We ordered the oven-baked lamb, which was tasty, but the portions were unexpectedly small. Unfortunately, the staff’s attitude made us feel like intruders – their facial expressions clearly showed annoyance at having guests at 8:30 PM.
The prices were significantly higher compared to the nearby tavernas, which made us feel deceived, especially since the beautiful scenery had promised a different experience. Although we understood the food had been pre-cooked, it was insufficiently reheated in the microwave – we ended up eating lamb drenched in cold oil and solidified fat.
We were served bread for two dishes without asking for it and without even touching it, yet it was charged at an outrageously high price. Moreover, what is usually offered on the house – a mini ice cream on a stick – we were forced to pay for. We felt blatantly ripped off. Or perhaps, being in a mountain area and during the off-season for this island, they are trying to make money at all costs from the few tourists who...

Unfortunately I can not share the good experience of the other reviews. We came here on a recommendation. Spent 1 hour getting here from Paleochora with high hopes. We were not made to feel welcome at all. The owner lady was seemingly to busy chatting with the locals to even look at us. We were most definitely not made to feel welcome. Quite the opposite. The food was ok but nothing special. we got no water or Raki or Fruit or anything for free like you usually do. The fried potatoes were still hard in the middle. We were terribly disappointed and would not come again. DO NOT GO OUT OF YOUR WAY TO COME HERE. The view is nice the food is cheap enough but quality is not better than other places and do not expect to be treated well here if you are not Greek. Very...
Read moreA really great spot, with very flavoursome and well prepared food. The drive is spectacular - stunning views and changing microclimates all the way. The food would be worth the trip even if the drive wasn't so exciting!
If coming from Platanias/Gerani, include a stop at the ancient olive tree along the way, then consider taking the more easterly route back - you get to see more that way.
It's a relatively remote spot (good road quality all the way though, and plenty of little towns with services). The service is laid back. I was happy to find almost everything on the menu was available - I don't know how they manage it when places in the middle of town seem to be missing 50% of the dishes on any given day. It almost doesn't matter what is or isn't on though - it's all good.
The cheese coated with toasted sesame seeds and breadcrumbs was...
