Great Dayz Taverna — Restaurant in Municipality of Karpathos

Great place to kite-, wing or windsurf. It is a nice station and have good rental equipement. Though having used my own kite gear but rented a wingfoil. Unlikely as some else here commented the people of the station are very friendly and helpful. The beach is tiny and for all our safety and happy sailing they created some rules which I fully support. With gusty winds and hard rocks around, I was very happy to make use of their launch and safety service and not having to rely on other people. View is good, but choice of foods - including its quality for the given price - is unsatisfactory. The provide really basic, simple foods, nothing special; the menu is really basic, simple toasts, price is rather high for getting served from a big industry barrel (e.g. tzatziki), they dont provide any healthy options/bowls; their ice cream is a euro more than on comparing spots, coffee products are made with instant powder, expect your coffee with ice (frappe) with whole cubes instead of crushed the staff itself can be nice, but not their boss take care what...

The owner is one of the most rude people I’ve met. Not going ever again just because of him. In addition the rental equipment is quite old and the spot is also very bad - the water is extremely choppy. There are way better spots in the island if you have your own gear.
