We had a wonderful dinner at this charming taverna in Karpathos. The food was absolutely delicious — super fresh, homemade, and full of flavor.
We tried the traditional “makarounes” (pasta) which were perfectly cooked, the fava was tasty, and the local specialties felt truly authentic. Only the fried calamari was not so well cooked.
The staff and the owner especially were incredibly warm and welcoming, making us feel right at home. Plus, the cozy, traditional atmosphere really adds to the whole experience. Highly recommend this spot if you’re looking for a genuine taste...

The Grilled Calamari - Fresh catch from the sea, huge, thick, tender with great char-grilled taste, the lemon olive oil was so delicious. I don't eat bread but I cheated today, because the bread looked artisan, had to have 2 bite-size pieces well-soaked it this oil, it was a dream.
All the vegetable from this seafront restaurant are grown in their garden. And the view of Adia Bay plus the sunset were fantastic.

Read moreWe are early in the season and arrived a bit early for a Greek lunch but far to late for breakfast. So we asked the lady to prepare us something she thought it would be good. We ended up with home made goat cheese home grown vegetables, peppers, tomatoes, rice and pork meat. Delicious bread. Of course we ended with skèto and metrio coffee and a Greek pastry of which I forgot the name. Together with the beautiful view from the terrace and the nice conversation we stayed way to long. That's the advantage of being here on holiday...
