Taverne Kedros — Restaurant in Municipality of Karpathos

We visited Kedros, a family run tavern, this summer on our first night and it became our go to place for the rest of the holidays. The menu can cover a variety of local dishes and all the ingredients are fresh, from their garden or their own livestock. Everything is fresh and delicious. The portions are huge and the prices are very reasonable. Staff is very friendly, informative and good company on a late Friday night. If you visit Sunday there is a special menu with pork and chicken on the spit which is also excellent and one of the best I have tried in my travels. This restaurant/taverne is like a breath of fresh air on this island. The views of the sunset and surrounding areas are beautiful. Almost all of the vegetables are homegrown and biological and fresh. The owners are brothers and take the time to make you feel welcome, the food is traditionally cooked and made with love. This is by far the best restaurant on the island. Kedros is a really good restaurant minutes away from Finiki and cca 20minutes from Pigadia (Karpathos's capital) with a scooter. Its totally worth the visit. Restaurant has its own garden around it with superb views.

You can try anything: Greek salad, kedros salad (m-m-m), tzatziki, moussaka, briam, papoutsakia, souvlaki, its all great.

For Sundays reservation is necessary and you can try Kontosouvli (slow cooked pork).
