So we went to this place once and it was amazing views really full of character. but the so called owner wasn't the most welcoming. i understand he gets visitors not wanting to buy from him as he is in a location where people sometimes only go for walking. He expected us to just look around the place and leave so he was rude, but when we said we wanted something to eat he warmed up and spoke to us with a little enthusiasm. The girl working there from chilli was fantastic and helpful. We got a salad and some cheese slightly warm in tinfoil in the end as nothing was ready in the afternoon.(go after 4pm) We did as for Greek Salad and Baked Cheese but it was not either of them. So if your reading this Mr boss man you need to sort it out for next year....
Read morePalio Pyli means Old Pyli and is an attraction well worth the physical effort to get there. There are ruins of the old town high up in the mountains and on the top lies the ruins from castle of Pyli. You will have to walk up there which will take some extra 10-20 minutes.
If you just want to see the spectacular view over the sunset you follow the path and take the stairs up to a lovely small taverna. It has a few tables out in the nature and serves some drinks and smaller dishes.
The owner was really nice and the place is so peaceful.

The owner's name is Giorgos and he is a very hospitable and helpful gentleman. His inspiration comes from Crete, that's why he always wears black clothes and the music of the store is mandinades. If you are lucky, you will also hear someone playing the lyre.
