I see the owners are very keen on answering to any criticism so I await to get a nice reply here as well. Basically we ordered food and got overcharged. On the table you only get the sum you have to pay but not the exact products you ordered and prices - you need to remember them very well to actually realise something is wrong. We ordered: Moussaka 7€ 2 pita 5€ Tzatziki 2,5€ Small water 0,50€

Together 15,00€

Anybody can check the prices in the menu when you are there. I went to the kitchen to talk to older lady as the waiter did not speak good English. She screamed at me in Greek and told me that the moussaka today is bigger so it's more expensive. This is what I really don't care about at all - any restaurant must charge prices as in the menu or tell before ordering, not make up new prices and let the customer pay. Never. That is terrible customer service. She said mussaka should be 8,50€ that day but we still are at 16,50€ and not 17,50€. I asked manager for the official complaint book, that they themselves mention in the menu, but was not given any. He said he does not have one and that is it. Offered me money back but I did not want it. I want to be treated with respect, dignity and fairness. Today it was quite the opposite. This is a shame on them as we only met honest and lovely people on the island and they seem to be a black spot on a white sheet of beautiful holiday...

Oh dear We decided to go here after reading the reviews, but oh what a big disappointment. We knew it was going to be bad from the offset when the waitress had difficulty understanding what wine we wanted even after 3 attempts at explaining she still got it wrong, we ordered .5lt & 1 lt semi sweet white wine, she insisted it was red!!!! And it certainly wasn't semi sweet. The starter came after the main and our friends we're still waiting for their meal when we were half way through(we would expect our meals to come at the same time). My partner couldn't eat his meal as it was not nice at all and the waiter told us he had knocked it off the bill. When the bill came it was not itemised so we didn't know what we were being charged for, we totalled it up and we reckon it should have been €59 euros but the bill was for €70 so €11 euros adrift. Would not recommend at all don't know where there 5* reviews come from maybe they write them themselves. Not a good experience which is a shame as most restaurants and the Kos locals are lovely. These people spent most of their time looking at their phones instead of paying attention to...

My wife got me the olive tour and tasting for my birthday but instead we got enjoy cooking with mama as well. It was an amazing experience. We prepared Greek salad, tzatziki, moussaka, stuffed zucchini flowers, Spanakopita and Greek aubergine salad. Then we got a tour of the olive orchard and learned what it takes from tree to finished oil and tasted different oils later. The finishing touch was to eat all the food we prepared ourselves earlier. I can only highly recommend this place and the experience they offer. Everyone is super nice, welcoming and funny. Mama is a master chef and can teach you great things in the kitchen. Greek cuisine doesn’t use many spices and is actually very easy to prepare but so tasty. Thanks to the owner and his family for this great birthday experience.

As stated in other reviews, the location isn’t all that. But the food. I honestly believe it’s among the best on the island, in Greek cuisine, that is. Is it greasy? Kind of, but not in the way you’d expect. Every dish is so incredibly flavourful, we really munched down heavily on each plate the proprietor brought. After the garlic bread (which he rightly recommended), the sizzling cheese (a kind of fried haloumi), fried eggplant and zucchini (so good), sausages with tomato (sauce), filled tomato and peppers with rice we ended with the pulpo (also recommended). After he put the bread in our table we thought we had ordered too much but damn. We just devoured everything. And we’re not huge eaters. Even a complimentary dessert was wolfed down. Yes, we are planning to go back tonight.

Taverna Perasma" is unique for us, with absolutely fresh and authentic cuisine. Here "Grandma" cooks with heart, soul and passion, you can really feel that. A lovingly furnished tavern with great people. Evi has such a warm way of dealing with guests and her warm smile makes the stay just perfect. This is how you imagine guest care. We stayed at the "Oku Resort" - and the food there did not live up to our expectations of a 5 star hotel - so we visited the nearby "Taverna Perasma" and were absolutely not disappointed. We hope to see you again and recommend the restaurant without exception. Kind regards Annika & Noël
