Koumos — Restaurant in Municipality of Malevizi

Went here randomly, based only on the other reviews here. We were definitely not disappointed. We arrived around 3pm, and it was quite busy, so we had to wait about half an hour door a seat. We are seriously glad we stuck around. The food was incredibly good, and the portions were extremely generous.

A word of warning to non Greek speakers - the menu is only in Greek. However, some of the staff spoke reasonably good English and were willing to help us make our selections (along with a bit of help from Google translate).

I think this place would be even better if we had been in a larger group. Many of the plates are large and meant for sharing. We accidentally ordered a lot of food, but it was so good, we shoveled it all...

Really lovely gem of a place. We came here two nights in a row and were blown away by the quality of the food, service, and friendliness of the staff and owner. They treated us as though we were family and provided lots of recommendations from the menu.

Everything (and I mean EVERYTHING) we ate was delicious and with a distinct authenticity. We'd leave feeling full and still have leftovers!

At the end of the meal they brought out homemade raki and a crate of their own grown fruit for us to feast on. There were adorable animals in the vicinity that made the experience that much more special.

The place is spacious and welcoming. Do not miss a chance to visit! 11/10...

Coming back after years, we went to visit our favourite place for Cretan food. Our excitement was turn shortly to surprise as we saw the small graphical restaurant turned to a big scale venue more oriented for events than for well prepared dinners. The vote was lost being the newly placed trees and it felt a bit claustrophobic with all the decoration and lack of view. When we arrived there were only three companies but the food was served with significant delays and below the used to be standards. We want to believe that the old identity of the place is not lost and our next future visit we will be able to taste again the amazing flavours that we were used too...
