What a lovely find! We were staying in a villa near Krousonas and this was super close! The owner made us very welcome, spoke great English and the food was wonderful authentic Createn food. €28 for 2 people for lots of food and drinksade it excellent value too! With modern touches such as a QR code menu to scan and the all important ability to pay with a card so no getting caught without cash!! The view over the valley is epic to watch the sun go down. So food ✅, service ✅, atmosphere ✅, user friendly ✅. If you are near Heraklion, do yourself a favour… step away from the resort restaurants and head for the mountain!...

An excellent village taverna with an outstanding owner and host. From the moment you sit down to the very last you will be treated like a king. The location is beautiful with excellent views to the surrounding hills, about 20 minutes from Heraklion. Excellent Meze selection, nice assortment of meats. But beyond all that, the best thing is the service. You will feel like you are the most important guest at the restaurant. This is the place you want to visit in order to experience the Cretan village scenery, friendly and attentive service and small dishes, like tapas, that were the norm in the “kafeneio” of the old times.
