The natural setting is stunning, but we were let down by the non-existent service and mediocre food. This was one of the most disappointing meals we have ever had in Greece. When we came to order, we were told what we had chosen was not available so we had to start again. Fish souvlaki at €20 was one skewer, some sliced beetroot and a blob of spinach; the chicken schnitzel at €11.50 was a good size and tender but accompanied by seven thin chips and a spoonful of sauerkraut. The waiter appeared to be there simply to write down the order. There was no welcome, no engagement, and the food when it arrived was plonked on the table in silence. He never returned to ask if we wanted a dessert or coffee so we finally gave waiting and asked for the bill. It was only when my husband - who speaks some Greek - asked for the change (ie we were not leaving a tip) that the message dropped. There are some really good restaurants nearby offering far better food at lower prices with decent service to spend your hard-earned...

Seaside tavern, to a beautiful location called kalamaki approx 3 klm away from petalidi! I would just split my review in 3 parts: 5 stars for the location..Really privileged place..Cooked dishes (hotpot) were not something exceptional..At least that happened in our case..Fish and grills are Ok..So 3 stars..And 1 star for the service and poor understanding by the owners on how to manage conflicts and treat dissatisfied customers (which even didn't complaint about the bad food)..A privileged location does not make the difference itself..Training is needed.. Whilst staying at the nearby Sunrise Village Beach Hotel we decided to have an evening away from the all inclusive restaurant and try this place. So glad we did. The service was impeccable…as soon as we arrived the female owner greeted us as though we were long lost friends! Beautiful setting overlooking the sea.
