If I could give 0 stars, I would. It is always a shame to release bad reviews to a family business, and I never do it, but this time I was forced to make an exception. Just let me explain what happened. A few days ago we tried this tipycal restaurant and liked it quite a lot, although some traditional specialties were not available. The young guy who was in charge as a waiter (probably the owner's son) was friendly and helpful. So, we decided to make a reservation for Saturday approximately after 9 pm, because only on Saturdays grilled lamb and goat would be available. This place didn't look like a tourist trap.... Then we showed up as agreed at 9.20 pm on this Saturday. The table wasn't ready, all chairs taken ... but we weren't in a hurry. No problem, we thought. A table was actually provided in a few minutes. But... no one to take our order for a while. No problem yet. We were quite relaxed. In the meantime 3 or 4 table had been set for other people. Something like 45 minutes had passed... I had to go inside and called for the young kid just reminding him that probably the colleague in charge for orders had forgotten us but I just asked him for some details about the menu. Some more 20 minutes passed... eventually he himself took the order and brought us the beverage. It was 10 pm. The guy is nice and speaks good English, but maybe couldn't do much for us.... People arriving later than ourselves had been already served and were enjoying their dinner! All of them! At 10.30 we left. Hungry and angry. Why? Because that behaviour was like making fun of ourselves. We just wondered the reason why... the experience was completely insane. First time after years and years of holidays in Greece and in...
Read moreThe view is nice, and the restaurant is not crouded, it is quiet and you can have the peace you do not find in the center. This is the good part. The food is avarage in my opinion (6 types of fish in the menu, only one avaible but ok) and the the waiters acted normal, not extremely friendly and no cozy atmosphere, I don't know what was all that in the comments. But, I put one star all in all, because the way they treated a sick cat: I hated that a cat who had a tale problem (probably a very bad burn) came to our table, and it was send away by the waiter with the explanation that "she is sick and dying and I do not want her near the customers". Maybe the customers want her near, to give her a small bite of food and some love since she is suffering. He also said "I could take her to the vet but she is not my cat". Yeah, you know you could take her even if she is not your cat?! I just felt like they are simply imune to the suffering of these animals, although many of the customers wanted to pet the cats and to feed them. So when you own a tavern in Greece, with a big terrace and many tables outside, cats are part of the scenary and part of the atmosphere. I can understand that you, as an owner of the restaurant, do not want to spend all your money on cats, but when a cat is in real suffering, you should, if not for love and empathy, at least because it is bad for business - when people have dinner, they do not want to see animals in suffering being send away, most of them want to help (and at at least three other tables people wanted to pet that cat and to feed her, from what I have seen). Yes, I love cats and this event really ruined the...
Read moreFound this spot on google around lunch time since it was near our hotel and had good reviews. The food was amazing and the service was great as well. Our waiter was so friendly and helped to recommend dishes per our request. To our surprise, when we went to pay inside, we saw the same man who was taking orders doing the cooking as well! So impressed by his ability to deliver quality food in a timely manner all by himself. Lovely atmosphere also. Would...
