First of all, I have deep admiration for this restaurant for the family who runs it. I am not Greek, nor related to them, but I have visited their previous location in Naxos town (Chora) MANY times and was excited to experience their new restaurant, just outside Apeiranthos. This was, quite simply, the best meal I have had this year, and one of the finest from Antamoma. The chef has an instinct that brings Greek tradition to your plate in perfect, clean lines. Each flavour is honest and direct, no trickery, no shortcuts, just skill, respect for the ingredients, and a true love of the craft. All of this was washed down with a crisp glass of wine, which complemented the food beautifully.
The setting is stunning, with beautiful views. We visited during the day, but I can imagine the atmosphere being even more breathtaking at sunset or under the evening lights.
The food was outstanding. The greens were sublime, how do you cook an entire courgette until it is tender and sweet throughout whilst keeping its shape?! The cooking juices, combined with olive oil, were perfectly seasoned and not a drop was wasted. The meatballs were glistening and full of flavour with silky smooth mashed potatoes. The courgette (zucchini) tart had beautifully made pastry, both in texture and taste. The fava was creamy and delicate, but the addition of mackerel was a revelation, cooked so that the flesh was taut and the skin popped in the mouth, as exquisite as a burst of caviar.
The service was immaculate: warm, professional, and genuinely charming. You can simply go for a drink and a small bite, soak up the view, or indulge in a full meal; whatever you choose, you will not regret it.
Finally, there is a beautiful old mill on site, a restored stone windmill. Soon, they plan to make their own flour and host cooking classes, which I am certain will be as exceptional as the food itself.
It is this seamless blend of tradition, craftsmanship, and modern hospitality that truly sets this place apart...

The view over the Aegean is breathtaking, the cocktails are expertly crafted, and the food is genuinely outstanding. You eat remarkably well here, with fresh ingredients, creative twists, and beautifully presented dishes. The atmosphere strikes a perfect balance between elegance and warmth, with soft lounge music and a friendly, attentive team.
A lovely surprise? We were invited to visit the old windmill that gives the place its name. Guided by the kind and passionate hosts, we got a glimpse into its history, adding a cultural and authentic touch to the evening.

Read moreMy friends and i were very excited to come to this restaurant as there aren’t many place with a view like this. That is why we made a reservation. When we arrived we were offered a table next to the kitchen. As sitting next to kitchen and having no view was not the reason for our visit we asked to be moved to a table with a view. The staff wasn’t very pleased to help us with this issue. We didn’t understand why it was a problem for us to sit at a free table with a view. The managers response: the table was reserved for someone else (spoiler alert: nobody sat on that table the whole night and table requests were not allowed over the phone). Additionally, we waited more than an hour for the food when it wasn’t even that busy. The food however was...
