Gregory's Fish Taverna — Restaurant in Municipality of Northern Corfu

Tbh I can't understand the ratings here. In short, seafood not fresh, food below average for the price, unacceptable insincere service.

Long version: Mentions of fresh fish ingredients in reviews gave us high expectations, however the food we had didn't taste such. Baby shark bourdeto was alright, gravy tasted not bad but the fish was just average, either overcooked or the fish was simply not fresh, making it a bit dry. Deep-fried white bait couldn't really go wrong, hence wouldn't really give high credits here. French fries, hmm... Average.

With high expectations we ordered a lobster but we're disappointed. First, the seasoning was nothing spectacular, with lemon, olive oil and oregano. Thought the freshness of the lobster meat would stand out this way, unfortunately from the texture of the meat one can clearly tell it was not fresh. Definitely not worth 80 Euros per kilo.

Experience wise - not great as well. The waiters and waitresses were of teenage age. Not a problem usually, but some of them clearly were in need of professional customer trainings. A few girls were clearly faking their friendliness with customers, playing nice in front but deep down were not sincere. I saw in my own eyes when a customer was leaving and greeting goodbyes, two girls acted busy and didn't give a response. And once the customer left to a certain distance away, the girls glimpsed at each other and smirked. That scene caught me in shock!

The same girls served us as well in occasions and were in general friendly. Until we were presented the bill, we were charged for bread we didn't order (admittedly we did get the bread and ate it, but we clearly stated at the beginning we didn't want any other sides, hence we thought the bread served was on the house), and we asked for this to be removed. The waitress agreed to it reluctantly, but before we wanted to tell how much tips to add on top on the bill, she grabbed the cash and walked off. Pfff, alright we saved the tipping then ;) and in fairness one young waiter was at least nice through our stay, he deserves some praises. When he greeted us goodbyes when we left, the girl waitress immediately whispered to him, that's clearly another unprofessional/petty act.

The Seaview was nice but I wouldn't put up with the unpleasant food and service experience to visit...

We ordered see bream, octopus, Greek salad, Greek coffee and bread. Fish was fresh and served with a few slices of cucumber and tomato. Everything was covered with sauce made from olive oil and lemon. Octopus was perfect and it was served same as fish, both dishes were prepared on grill. Greek salad was amazing, I think the best one on Corfu. Vegetables was fresh and delicious. The bread was fresh and homemade. Pictures say's more about food and if you are near this restaurant it's must to stop and to take a break with fantastic scenery on the sea in quite place and natural shade which is made from...

Could not eat a bite because of the sad site I had on a parrot that was locked up and stressed in a small cage with dirty water! Horrible how that poor animal is mistreated, I've been crying my eyes out, this is animalabuse and deadwrong!!!!!! Nobody seems to care! Also a cage with two small birds, at least they had eachother but it's still sad😢😢😢😢😢

I reconsider my value rating, guess it's not fair to give one star when i didn't touch my food at all! Please sir, be so kind and treat that bird like you suppose to treat all living souls, it's really...
