Monamour Kokkinos — Restaurant in Municipality of Northern Corfu

PURE PERFECTION! I'm halve Greek who lives in other country. I try to show to my family and friends real Greece each time I'm there. Real tavernas with real Greek food. We have been in many tavernas in many places around the Greece - but this is one of the best. You will find there traditional (NOT TURIST ONE) food, prepared and served as it should be done. If you are at Kierkira (Corfu) you must go there. Rent a car, hire a taxi or even go for a distance walk, but this place is a must be. And - which is also important - prices are more than reasonable. In fact cheaper than in most touristic places at Corfu. Most of guests are Greek - and if you have a basic knowledge about this country - this is the best...

We had a meal here. The waiter told us about the special's so I asked if I could have a mixture of two ( lamb and pork roll) he said that he could do that and charge it as a portion for both. My wife had roast chicken off the spit. When the bill came I had to ask why we had extra prices on the bill. He couldn't explain it so had to ask. When he came back they had decided to charge for a portion of lamb and the pork roll separately which was not agree to. Plus a 2euro service charge. This place is rustic eatery . And locals eat there so do they pay a service charge ! I...

We loved this place! Group of 7, no reservation and we got a gorgeous table outside on the beautifully decorated terrasse.

The food especially the meat is amazing, we loved everything we tried. Very fair prices and we had an amazing waiter who made sure we try the house wine before giving us a full serving in case we didn’t like it (we didn’t and then he brought us another bottle that we loved). The waiter even suggested a better route back home for us which ended up being a gorgeous drive through the middle of nowhere.
