"Me Gusto" — Restaurant in Municipality of Papagos - Cholargos

Shrimps weren’t fresh, tragic even, and I asked for 3 different dishes (2 of them were seafood based) and they didn’t have them, when the whole concept of this place is seafood, not to mention it was after I ordered them, they didn’t care to mention it before! Food is also not accurately seasoned and they also don’t put a lot of sauce too. Service also not very clever and HIGHLY unprofessional (they didn’t even know what the menu was), my friend from Bangladesh who is 16 is a better waiter! Dessert saved it from being a 0 out 5. The decoration is very random, as if they bought the first stuff they saw from the store. Their average rating defies logic, these people rating are probably bots. Expensive too! 25 euros per person with NO alcohol! VERY overrated and in general bad, I’m praying for...

We liked the food so much that we went back the second night. First time we shared a plate of fried anchovy (like whitebait) which was very good and actually enough for two people as a light dinner. Then we had grilled sea bass and that was the best we ever had, just perfectly cooked. Second time we shared Me Gusto salad that was very good (and very large), followed by the sea bass which was again excellent. The staff are very pleasant and speak good English, and the owner very hospitable and kept brining us nice things to try for free (but that's not why I am submitting a good review!). Very simple: We love the "me gusto". Antonis, his lovely wife Efi and the team are wonderful hosts, the food is outstanding, the decoration warm and inviting.
