A Surprising Encounter with Warmth and Deliciousness

With some concerns about whether the foreign cuisine would suit our Chinese palates, I had an evening dinner here with my daughter, her classmates, and their families, and it turned out to be an unforgettable culinary experience.

As soon as we stepped into the restaurant, we were greeted by the owner's enthusiasm. The complimentary toasted bread he arranged immediately made us feel at home. The bread was perfectly soft, with a rich aroma of wheat. Both children and adults couldn't get enough of it, and we all went for seconds (or even thirds). The four large platters of golden, crispy French fries became an instant favorite among the kids. We sat around the table, munching away happily, and the cheerful atmosphere grew stronger with each bite.

The star of the dishes was undoubtedly the grilled sardines. The fish was cooked to perfection—tender, delicate, and melting in the mouth without any hint of fishiness. The simple seasoning enhanced the natural freshness of the sardines, leaving us all impressed.

As the meal drew to a close, while waiting for the desserts, the children grew impatient. For them, even ten minutes felt like an eternity. Due to the restaurant's booming business, it would take about 15 - 20 minutes for the desserts to arrive. Just when we thought it might be a slight disappointment, the owner, looking very apologetic, presented us with complimentary fried sweet pastries. It was an unexpected and pleasant surprise that showed the restaurant's sincere hospitality. Even though we were already stuffed, we couldn't bear to waste such delicious treats and ended up taking the pastries to go.

I wasn't gonna write anything but i felt that i should, so here i am. The food and the service were excellent!!!! This is the truth!!!! I had French oysters, ceviche and carpaccio, one better than the other!!!!! A crab salad out of this world!!!!! My companion had a steamed whole fish....., delicious!!! Now, here is the thing...., she found an entire hook in the fish's mouth!!!!!!! She was almost in shock!!! We called our waiter and discreetly pointed out the issue. He just said sorry and removed it from the plate. I am not a cheap person, but they could buy us if not the entire dinner, at least the bottle of wine we had....., what...

The food at the restaurant was excellent—no complaints there. However, the service could use some improvement. It took a while for our orders to be taken, and one of the appetizers was forgotten, arriving only after we had finished our main courses.

If you choose to sit outside, be prepared for a very noisy environment. The outdoor area lacks proper organization, with kids running around and playing loudly in a nearby open space.
