Very bad experience. I wouldn't recommend it. They didn't have a menu, and the waiter told us what's on for the day, as he said to us they have every day different menu but we couldn't see the price of what we ordered. My greek friend ask him in greek if there is lamp and he said that they didn't have that day. After a while a group of tourist came and they order lamp, out of nowhere then they had. The food wasn't great very undercooked except of the sausage and the salad that was a bit better. We ordered in total 6 different plates plus wine .At the end we ask for the bill and they didn't gave us any receipt so we didn't know how much it was the price of what we ordered, basically they could charge us what they wanted. When we ask to pay by card they said that there is no POS. As an advice for the future you need to say that from beginning to your customers not when it is time to pay. If we don't have any cash you haven't inform us, it is your fault and by not offer a receipt the customers are not obligated to pay. Maybe you should have a look to the law and conditions not only in Greece but in every European Country. We went there because we thought it is not a touristic place but an original Greek taverna, unfortunately the service was at least...

If want some real authenticity, don't bother anything else in the immediate vicinity. Things to know: Don't come if you are not hungry - they feed you until you cannot eat anymore, then feed you again. You can't move onto the next plate until it's all finished, everything. Cannot guarantee that Vegans/Veges will thrive here. If you enjoy quality meat, then venture forth. THERE IS NO MENU! Cash only. Spare minimum 3 hours. This is an experience not a quick stop. Make sure to dance with locals OR drink enough Wine & Raki until you are brave enough.
The food was beautiful, Don't underestimate the images. The 'fried potato' isn't what you're banking on, its the meat flavour and quality. All cooked in the outdoor clay oven & grilled, the setting is beautiful, its a proper village with a proper village community where the locals sing and shout because that's just what they appear to be doing in happiness. All the meat is locally sourced, and every dish is random, Everything is fresh and flavourful. The wines are young and dangerous - be warned - but your hangover will be a fraction of what it is usually.
Tip generously otherwise you don't...
Read moreThe food actually tasted great and the service was very friendly and cordial.
BUT: In winter, smoking is allowed inside in the very small room. We were horrified. If the owner himself encourages everyone at the neighbouring table to smoke, why should a guest want to do so ask the service to stop smoking (which can normally be assumed, as there is even a sign in the room).
We did not enjoy the meal, unfortunately. How can a chef assume that his food, cooked with love, will not spoil the meal for non-smokers because of the smell of smoke in the air - disgusting and anti-social.
On top of that, we had "fun" with the cigarette smoke afterwards: we only got the stench removed from our coats by...
