Unbelievable views! Fantastic spot to stop by and sit down while admiring the mountains. Unsure if they're serving any food other than few snacks that can be bought. It is quite over priced (one small juice was €2, same one in supermarket costs 59c). Their toilet is a disgrace! I'd much prefer to in the wild than use their toilet. The staff was quite awkward and once we entered the building all the locals sitting by the table stopped talking and were just watching us. It didn't feel too good, although the location...

The drive up to the canteen is probably worth more than anything else. The winding road takes you past some breathtaking scenery and you should stop when you can to get out of the car and take in the views. The food is traditional cretan cuisine, quite limited in choice, but it is very tasty. The lamb in red sauce is their speciality since they have their own sheep, but the rest you could eat in any other Greek tavern...

Great place on the road from chania to omalos and the Samaria gorge. Fantastic views down to the sea . Country cooking. Tables outside and in the cantina. Toilet down a small concrete ramp so would be difficult for someone in a wheelchair for example.. very reasonable prices for food and drinks..The drive was worth it.
