We tried to eat here on two occasions but on the first we ended leaving because we'd sat there for well getting on two hours without anyone taking our food order (we got one drink order as we sat down but no more), and we weren't the only table in this situation.
The restaurant was packed and they were turning away people who had booked tables. It seemed like they were extremely understaffed. One half of the restaurant was being served by an aggressively efficient waitress. The other half of the restaurant by a waiter who got in a car, drove off and never came back! It seemed odd to us that the waitress had zero interest in helping out the other half of the restaurant even though she could clearly see there was a problem.
We assumed this night was just a blip so went another day and it was much quieter. The menu was very small and printed on paper at each table, but everything sounded tasty and authentic Greek, which is what you want.
The food was extremely tasty. The service the second time was still a bit hit and miss and the owner was extremely apologetic about it all. We felt genuinely bad because he clearly had too many customers and just not enough competent...
Read moreThe food was decent quality-wise and the location was relatively quiet and enjoyable. Having said that, when I ask for the menu, the excuse "we have many foreigners coming in so we don't have one to bring you" is simply ridiculous, and (like another reviewer mentioned) having to look up the dishes from a street stand with no prices is offensive. The prices were at least 40%-50% of what you would pay in other restaurants for the same dishes (€11 for a Greek salad? Really?!?). The house red was also beyond its due age (probably due to poor storage conditions). The service was polite enough, but the feeling you were being conned was eminent. We will not be dining there again unless they get their...
I'm alone today and we're full."
