My wife an I decided to visit Romanos Beach as it's a nice sandy beach. As you drive down, parking is free. Once on the beach we chose to tend the long bed chairs with an umbrella or as the French call it - chaise longue. One of the waiters informed me that it will cost 15 euros. I accepted but my thoughts went to Kalamata beach where you only need to order a minimum of 10 euros per person in order to have the chairs... We wanted some drinks so we asked for the menu. Unfortunately, the waiter didn't know what drinks were actually available so he had to go multiple times to check. As beer with lemon wasn't available, I asked him to chuck a slice of lemon into a normal beer. He said that he doesn't have lemon. My wife ordered lemonade and ofcouse it had a slice a lemon in it. Anyhow, my wife received her lemonade and a scoop of ice-cream that was rather pricy (3.50 euros) and and I ordered a normal beer. I waited around 30 minutes and no beer in sight. The waiter was sitting in the shade no sign that was thinking to bring my beer. At this point, I made my way up to the bar and ask for the manager. The bartender shouted a name and this nice, well tanned petite lady appeared. I explained my situation and made some obvious points about customer service and she promised she's going to look into it. She also mentioned that quite often they have issues with their wifi which means that some of the orders don't get through. That doesnt really change the lack of attentiveness and customer displayed by the waiter. Not long after our chat, the same waiter arrived with my beer on ice that had a slice of lime in it and apologised for the wifi issues. He also mentioned that the beer is on the house. I haven't seen the manager after but wanted to say thank you for trying to undo the lack of customer service displayed by the waiter. At the end I was able to pay by card which is...
Read moreWe recently visited your beach bar – a nice location with a spacious terrace. One side of the terrace was completely full, while the other side was empty. We chose to sit on the empty side to enjoy a quiet drink.
Shortly after, a waitress approached us and asked if we were planning to eat or just have drinks. We said we just wanted to have drinks. She then told us we had to move to the other side where everyone else was seated. When we asked why, we received no clear explanation.
This felt arbitrary and unfriendly. As paying guests, we expect to be able to choose where to sit, especially when there are plenty of available tables. Being told to move without a valid reason left a very unpleasant impression.
We hope you take this feedback seriously and ensure that your staff treats all guests with fairness and respect...
Read moreThe beach bar is on a very beautiful beach (Romanos). As it was a Saturday in August, we had decided to book sunbeds in advance and did so through the Plazz app. It was €50, €40 or €30 per set on the app, depending on which row you chose. When we got there, we realised that the sunbeds were €15 or €10 if you did not have a reservation, which felt an incredibly big difference with the reservation price. The service on the beach was decent and the drinks were good. We decided to eat at the restaurant, which we found overpriced for the quality of the food and the size of the portions served. The biggest disappointment though was the showers and toilets area, both in the restaurant and on the beach- dirty and very smelly! I doubt anybody cleans them during the day. A shame really…they should do a better job at looking...
