We went to this today as someone had mentioned it as a quiet cute bistro. The environment was pleasant and the staff were welcoming. We ordered two servings of the stuffed chicken which came uncooked. We informed the waitress who offered to either cook our half eaten portions more or bring us a new plate. As we felt it would be a waste to ask for an entire new portion seeing as we were nervous about the food at this point we asked for them to just cook what was left over a little more. The plates came back to us exactly how we had left them, every crumb in its place, almost as if they had just been placed in a microwave which was unsatisfactory and surprising. We were charged full price for both the servings and even after questioning the staff, they didn’t acknowledge any wrong doing. Read moreModern, cosy vibes dominate in this industrial design space with a slight vintage touch. Atmosphere is casual and relaxed albeit elegant. Dishes are well prepared with fresh Greek ingredients cooked in front of guests at the double-tiered bar by the chefs. Wine list is extensive and showcases Greek wineries within a reasonable price range, but other national drinks such as artisanal beers, tsipouro, etc are also on offer. This project kicked off on the back of the owners' already existing delicatessen in the adjacent space which showcases an immense variety of prime Greek products, mainly the award-winning olive oil of their own production. The two spaces are now smartly interconnected and allows you to both shop and dine in. Kudos to Vaya and Dimitri for this daring enterprise that strives to raise the bar in this small suburban environment by offering quality...
Read moreMy wife read positive reviews online and we decided to drop in. When you enter the shop you are greeted by a cute eclectic boutique, featuring local goods and Alpha Pi’s own offerings. There is a great retro, nouveau art deco vibe that carries through the decorations and music. The shop was great, but we came to eat! We chose seats at the bar. It was about 6:00pm and we were the only people eating. We ordered the fava bean puree and smoked eel appetizer, the ravioli with tuna in herb cream sauce, the lamb chops, and the orange “pie” (I would describe it as a super dense cake) for dessert. All were fantastic! I had a glass of local red wine, which was also wonderful. The staff was attentive but not hovering - perfect for what we wanted. We absolutely recommend Alpha Pi Deli & Wine...
