Romeo&Juliet Fusion Cuisine — Restaurant in Municipality of Rethymnon

This place is a little gem. The food is delicious, the ambiance/vibe is really cosy and warm, and just generally lovely 😍 We were sat outside where we could just watch the world go by. The village is very calm, and situated atop a hill so the views are generally also very nice. We ate the tzatziki, bread, poppadoms, haloumi, Romeo & Juliet salad, and ribs. Everything we ate was delicious. The salad was so well-balanced and tasty, and the ribs were so tender and so flavourful. At the end of the meal, the owner brought us a little ice cream and locally-made fruit liqueur. The owner is very sweet and nice, and you could tell she loves what she does. There are a lot of stray cats and a couple dogs in the area, and she treats them with such respect and care. Wonderful! As part of a large group staying in a nearby villa, I visited numerous times during my recent stay. Matt and Yanna were fantastic - lovely, genuine people. We arrived late on our first night due to flight delays and arrived at the restaurant at gone 11pm, tired and hungry. In spite of finishing up for the night, Matt and Yanna reopened the kitchen and made us a mountain of delicious fresh food. All the food is freshly cooked with a stable menu and different daily dishes as well. The menu takes from different parts of the world so there is something for every taste. Staying in the Rimondi hotel which is located 10 mins taxi ride from this lovely restaurant. We were getting fed up with the same food every day and did a Google search near us. Omg we felt like we won the jackpot, the food is delicious and Yanna and Mathew make you feel like you are a guest in their home.

I have had a lot of Thai food in England and you wouldn't expect quality in Greece, but trust me it took me back to when I went to Thailand, it was lush. My girlfriend had Madras and I have never seen her eat so quick 🙂 we thoroughly enjoyed the whole evening.

If you are in Crete and love this kind of food it is definitely worth the trip.
