I wouldn't leave 5 stars unless we really meant it. Parents and a 20 month old. With a car (easy parking). This place is wonderful with excellent staff who really understand how to cater for families, but if we were younger and more carefree - we would still go. Great and easy access location. Really nice atmosphere. Staff are fantastic and really helpful to nudge and adjust as required (toddler). Please if you have a chance or a hunger, you must visit and support this restaurant. Generally gets busy with locals (a good sign) just after sunset, so useful to arrive just before sunset. Otherwise walk-in seems welcome. The only critique would be that they have cats around, but as we love cats - that was actually a pro... and they were adorable and great wrestlers. Please experience this place, really recommend speciality dishes (being tested for the new menu) and the spicy cheese dip. Otherwise great local options and the staff will tell you what you need. Mama is presumably the owner, and she definitely knows best. Very...
Read moreI would describe Alli Fasi as a place where heart meets passion. Not only has this local taverna evolved over the years but was only possible because of the dedication and love Tassos and Julie put into running the place. It is now a pillar of the community. From choosing produce at the market, growing the greens at the farm or producing their own olive oil to cooking Tassos' family recipes, one thing is clear - they love what they do.
Tassos and Julie are warm, endearing, honest and hospitable. Don't be afraid to ask questions or recommendations. Food is honestly, the best we have had in Rhodes. Try the family bean stew, lindos shrimps, and the unique oil pitas. We've pretty much ate the whole menu at this point and are looking forward to doing it again.
Ask about the history, have a drink and stay for as long as possible. This place isn't just about the food but about those who run the place. We know we can't wait...
Read moreThe restaurant atmosphere is very quaint and immediately feels like home. The restaurant owner Tasos is a gentlemen and helped us select our order. I asked for hummus but Tasos doesn’t do hummus. What he does is so much better! The fava is a must try!! We were blown away - utterly delicious.
The fresh shrimp from Lindos are probably the best shrimp I have ever tasted in my life. We also ordered the anchovies, Greek salad, fried white bait, pita bread and grilled sausage. I couldn’t fault anything on the menu. Everything tasted exceptional.
Tasos was very generous and gave us shots of local spirits before we left, as it happened to be our last night. He spoke to us about his restaurant and it’s history and you can truly see how passionate he is about the food and drink they serve here in their family run restaurant. It is all made with love. If you are staying nearby you MUST visit this restaurant, you can...
