This place was such a good find. We stopped in here for lunch on our way back from the other side of the island. The owner is a bit mad - waving and shouting at the few cars which come through the village - but very friendly and accommodating. The food is excellent - simple, traditional Greek fare (souvlaki, dolmades, baked feta, saganaki) - and the calamari was quite honestly the best I’ve had anywhere, but there are also children’s options. Being in the middle of the island, it was also much more affordable than the tavernas in any of the...

Slightly disappointing given the excellent reviews. The owners were extremely accommodating and friendly. The tavern is also quite authentic. However, the meal selection was limited, which was surely down to us having visited in April — I’m sure it’s better during the summer months. We had the impression that not everything was indeed homemade as advertised, which was disappointing. Overall, we had to conclude that there are significantly better taverns in...

On a rainy off-season evening, we called to check if this little mountain restaurant was open — and the owner kindly kept it open just for us. The place is full of charm, set in a beautifully restored old house he renovated himself. He welcomed us warmly, showed us around, and served delicious local food and wine from the village. We left with a bottle of homemade wine and the feeling of having visited a grandparent in his home, not just a...

A very friendly Greek taverna. Stopped here for some food to share, and it was all fresh and inexpensive, and the wine was good also. The owner was very welcoming, and he has a very impressive whisky collection which was strange to see on Rhodes, especially as we are visiting from the UK. Not many vegetarian options, unless you include souvalaki(!), but good food nonetheless. Recommend visiting if you are looking for an authentic Greek taverna.
