Extremely loud music and very high prices. You always have the feeling that the guys from the bar want to cheat on you, as they don't have any price displayed anywhere. I also went to the Tavern, I believe it belongs to this beach bar. No prices anywhere, you should be prepared to have enough money when the bill comes (a handwritten piece of paper). 8 euros for a chicken souvlaki (VEEERY, VEEERY BAD CHICKEN MEAT), 18 euros for a small dorada fish with nothing, 3 euros a small Coca-Cola. They say they bring you water and then they ask you 2 euros for it. They even made a mistake with our order (they put our meal on another table). After few minutes they realized their mistake and they JUST TOOK THE MEAL FROM THE OTHER CUSTOMERS AND BROUGHT IT TO US, as if nothing happened. I my way to the toilets I passed close to the kitchen. Believe me, you wouldn't want to know how that kitchen looks like... Also, some customers behind us ordered some fish and I heard them telling to the waitress that they didn't believe the fish was fresh. A big NO from my side to the bar and the Tavern. You'd better bring some sandwiches with you and some big bottle of water and stay far from the tavern and...
Read moreThis beach is way too overrated. The only beach with sand? Are you kidding me? I don't think these guys know what sand is. It has small rocks on the entire beach and they call it sand. At least the sea near the beach doesn't have large rocks, only small ones. You still need water shoes, of course. It's also the most expensive beach bar with 5 EUR/person for chair and a drink. There are more than one beach bars and their music is mixed up in your head up to the point you can't make sense of any song. We went here only once, there will not be a second time. There are other nice beaches and cheaper beach bars on the island. Kipos is one of them, where a beach bar was recently installed. Nice people, decent prices. I know it's far, but they do prepare fresh fruit bowls, sandwiches, etc. so you're not gonna starve. One Fanta is 3 euro there. The downside is that the umbrellas are not great, they have a lot of holes and sun does pass through them. Keep that in mind if you have skin problems and need to be fully shaded...
Read moreBeautiful beach. The best on the Island. However, there are two bars and two taverns who fight over clients. First time we went we didn’t know what was going on and naturally followed the wooden path between the flags which belonged to the left bar. The umbrellas cost 5€ per person with one drink included, the music was blasting, and you could simultaneously hear the music from the second bar. Despite complaints the owners refused to turn it down. When you want to go to the restroom the owners watch your every move making sure you visit THEIR restroom in THEIR taverna.
If you are to go there, bring your own umbrella, or alternatively go to Nikolas’s bar and taverna (the other bar) - they are not as obnoxious, and the music is...
