We went here for lunch and can't understand why it's so highly rated, when overall it's quite mediocre. When we first ordered the drinks they forgot about my drink order and I had to ask again after everyone had received theirs.
We shared the gemista, and while it was good overall, it seemed a small portion for €9. One stuffed pepper, one stuffed tomato and 6 chips! You can get much better value elsewhere on the island. As an appetizer I choose Saganaki (very good) and garlic bread, which unfortunately doesn’t really taste like garlic. The main course is Pork Chops, which are a bit tough, the potatoes coming with it are mushy and cold. Read moreWe love that place! Visiting the rooms and the tavern for at least a week every year! We were anable to find good food in Sfakia region, because everything is very commersialized. There we found what we were looking for, a wonderful and peiceful beach, next to a beautiful and simple tavern with pure, cretan food! The family that owns the tavern are very friendly and helpful! We use to stay in their rooms, 150 m away from the beach, where we found our confort to spend really relaxing vacations. The prises are very fair for the first quality of material they use. Definately we will visit that...
