We went here for lunch and can't understand why it's so highly rated, when overall it's quite mediocre. When we first ordered the drinks they forgot about my drink order and I had to ask again after everyone had received theirs. We shared the gemista, and while it was good overall, it seemed a small portion for €9. One stuffed pepper, one stuffed tomato and 6 chips! You can get much better value elsewhere on the island. The chips were also slightly raw, and would have benefited from being in the fryer longer. The tzatziki was okay overall, but needed more salt. The saganaki was the star of the show, and we wished we had ordered two! At the end we received watermelon, where in most places you will also be given raki so this was a bit disappointing too. Overall this is a decent place for lunch, but it's definitely nothing special.

The taverna offers a beautiful view over the bay. The service is fast and friendly. Olives, bread and cheese are served in advance. As an appetizer I choose Saganaki (very good) and garlic bread, which unfortunately doesn’t really taste like garlic. The main course is Pork Chops, which are a bit tough, the potatoes coming with it are mushy and cold. Very good is the open red wine, which is slightly cloudy, and also the rakomelo for dessert is delicious. Conclusion: Taverna with a nice view and uneven cuisine. Service: Five stars Cuisine: Three stars Value for money: Four stars Revisit factor: Three stars

Situated at a small beach area with good places for swimming and relaxing in the sun. The prices here are just slightly higher than the other tavernas in the nearby area of Fragocastello. The food portions are also a little smaller. There was no Taziki offered with the Souvlaki but it was available when asked at an additional cost (€3.50). The red wine is not good here. Beer is the same price as anywhere else. The service is good. Tables are available inside the shaded taverna and outside under the shade of the trees in front of the beach.

We love that place! Visiting the rooms and the tavern for at least a week every year! We were anable to find good food in Sfakia region, because everything is very commersialized. There we found what we were looking for, a wonderful and peiceful beach, next to a beautiful and simple tavern with pure, cretan food! The family that owns the tavern are very friendly and helpful! We use to stay in their rooms, 150 m away from the beach, where we found our confort to spend really relaxing vacations. The prises are very fair for the first quality of material they use. Definately we will visit that...
