Korakis Restaurant-Rooms — Restaurant in Municipality of Sikyona

Two stars for the gorgeous setting and the comfi room for 3 people. But the price for the whole service was way too high. We paid 20€/pers, we asked if the brekfast was included, the owner, Vassilis, said it was. But the next day we had a bad surprise when we got the bill. It was actually more than 30€/person. Why ? Because they charged us an extra fee for the breakfast (few slices of bread, 2 homemade marmelades, 3 Nescafe coffees, 2 eggs and some butter. We asked the detail : each item was counted : 1,50 for the butter, 2€ for each marmelade and so on... + 1 greek salad for 2. The total for the food was 35€. It is very expensive for Greece, especially when we didn’t ask for 2 types of marmelades...

If you go there, make sure the breakfast is included in the announced price and negociate for a « breakfast package » otherwise you will have bad surprise in the end, hidden behind Vassilis’s...

Wonderful experience with the friendliest and most welcoming owner you can imagine! We stayed there in February. Rooms were very clean and cosy, comfortable bed and good heating, also in the bathroom. Great food in the evening, recommend the lamb chops and the mixed salad. Breakfast with the best Greek coffee ever! During the night heavy snowfall started, the owner arranged for the road to be cleaned so we could leave easier by car. This is a nature-lover's location; Come here to escape from the heat of the sights and cities, to explore the mountains. The Kastania guesthouse is on the main road through the village of Kastania and has excellent up-to-date comfortable rooms, views of the mountains and it's own restaurant. The room was spacious, well appointed, with modern bathroom and balcony. Absolute quiet at night. The bed was a little firm for me, but otherwise good.
