This is an highly commendable restaurant. The location is a traditional Greek mountain village but near a sea resort,, well worth a visit anyway. The lovely tree that gives its name to the establishment, provides shade for all visitors. But the essence is food, and this is what you get in good quality, well prepared, served professionally to a high standard. The taste of Greece is here, only it is tweaked by the chef, just the right amount (thankfully not that much that it is not Greek), but not highly priced. Very good value for money, including the wine and the friendly and polite service. The music is good as well and there is a bar opposite the square. I cannot recommend a dish, because we tried several during our two visits, and all were yummy and a joy to eat. We only felt sorry when we finished our food, but pleasantly full as well....

The setting, the people, the food, omg the food!! Even the chef came to our table Kostas and spoke to us about his dishes and casually speaking about flavours and cuisine.
Relaxing atmosphere and lovely place!! Highly recommend!!
Food was getting eaten pretty quickly, so I don't have more photos unfortunately!
Patata bravas were exquisite! Tomato and courgette beignets on point. Pork steak and ribeye perfect. The Risotto you don't want to eat it, its so beautiful, and it tasted even better!
All 3 spreads for bread (puppy seed bread wow!! ) were amazing and also if you love goat cheese, that roasted goat cheese with the melted texture and slightly burnt flavour was just out of this world!!
Yeah we literally took almost the whole menu...
Thank you Kosta and platanos...

Despite several vacant tables, the waitress approached my husband and demanded he put on a shirt, citing the restaurant's dress code. However, a woman seated at another table was permitted to remain in her bikini, exposing the staff's inconsistent enforcement of their own rules. Barcarolla's management should address this issue and ensure their staff applies the dress code equally to all patrons, regardless of gender. Until then, I cannot recommend this restaurant, as the poor service and double standards detracted from what could have been an enjoyable...
