Klimataria Tavern in Metagkitsi is truly one of the best dining experiences we’ve had in Halkidiki. If you're looking for authentic, traditional Greek food in a cozy, local setting, this is the place to go. From the moment we arrived, we felt warmly welcomed. The staff is incredibly kind and attentive, making you feel more like a guest at a family dinner than a customer. The service was fast and efficient, without being rushed – a perfect balance for a relaxing meal. The food was absolutely delicious, and the portions are huge. We ordered a variety of dishes – starters, salads, and four different main courses – and everything was cooked to perfection. The flavors were rich and traditional, clearly homemade with care and high-quality ingredients. Whether it was grilled meats, oven-baked specialties, or fresh salads, each plate was impressive both in taste and size. What also stood out was the value for money. For 2 adults and 2 children, we had drinks, coffee, several appetizers, and four generous main dishes, and the total bill came to just 73 EUR. Given the portion sizes, service, and food quality, this felt like a very reasonable price. The setting is charming – a peaceful village atmosphere, away from the busy tourist spots, perfect for an authentic experience. If you're in Sithonia and want to try true Greek hospitality and food, Klimataria Tavern is more than worth the drive.

Sunday evening 17th of July. We decided to go to klimataria for meat after a long beach bar day. (2 girls 1 guy) We saw that the reviews were more than decent thus we ended up going to taste what's has the taverna to offer. The order was : Fried potatoes , Xtypiti , fried squash with tzatziki , kontosouvli pork , kebab chicken , and a portion of lamb chops, and a greek cucumber tomato salad. The fried potatoes were fresh and handcutted! Great and tasty dish. The xtypiti was superb! I mean one of the best I've ever tried. The fried squash dish was a huge portion with very good taste and quite decent fried without extra oil. The kontosouvli was very tasty with a very good portion size. A bit fatty but that's pork. Kebab chicken was excellent!!! The lamp chops were mediocre compared to the rest of the dishes. The salad was normally good with a perfect portion size. The service was insanely fast!! we paid 58 euros along with 3 diet cokes 2 glasses of wine and a beer. The atmosphere was quite friendly and good. they had live music as well which added a very cozy feeling in the whole experience. To sum up: very good food! satisfying portions and a magical xtypiti!!! Affordable prices. I would definitely recommend this place to everyone! Great atmosphere good music cozy and friendly...

I will start with "You should try it"! The food is talking itself.

This is a tavern known for its great food. Although the closest beach is 10km away the restaurant is always full in the summer season. It is better to make a reservation. I have tried several dishes but my favourite one is mix keabab which is pork, veal and goat meat on a charcoal grill with french fries and rice. It is a big plate so you can share it. The good part besides the delicious food is the pricing, it is affordable. I should mention that this place is not approrpriate for business meetings because after your order is taken by the polite girls the dishes arrive in 1-2 minutes and your mouth will be bisy. And after you finish your dinner the compliment arrives, usually ice cream. So, after this, who wants to talk about business. I have been visiting this restaurant for more than 5 years and I don't see any degradation in food quality and service.

For me, this tavern should be used as a school, not school but university, for those who want to make a restaurant business.
