Wouldn't recommend to anyone, but would be willing to give another chance, if we were to get a chance to do it for free.
We ordered olives, bread and french fries for starters and a spaghetti and pork ribs for mains. When ordering, the waitress told us that the grill will take about 10 minutes to warm up, to which I said that it's no problem since we can enjoy drinks and starters while waiting. I expected the mains to take 20-25mins to be ready (10minutes warming + 10-15minutes cooking). The drinks came quickly and after 10-15 minutes we got the olives and bread. Then after 10 more minutes (25 minutes from ordering) the waitress brought the spaghetti and french fries. That was a bit confusing to get starter and main at the same time. Then after waiting 30 more minutes (55 minutes from ordering) we got the pork ribs.
So in this whole episode there's like 3 major things wrong:
These are all very simple and basic "How to run a restaurant 101" -level things that are honestly very easy to get right considering WE WERE THE ONLY CUSTOMERS IN THE WHOLE RESTAURANT due to off season (early May). Also, I wasn't surprised when no compensation, refund or anything was offered as if this was normal to the waitress to keep customers waiting in an empty restaurant :)
Not so bad that there wouldn't be something good too: Friendly waitress Food wasn't BAD, though it wasn't especially good either Lots of cute cats on the street (might be a minus to someone who...
Read moreNice Taverna to visit when in picturesque Sykia. The staff members are awesome and super friendly. The waitress has given us tips for our sigthseeing in Sykia. Kudos!
The ambient of the Taverna is relaxed and interior is nice, simple and clean.
As for the food a recommendation would be to order their Greek salad, it's one of the best I have tried during my stay in Sithonia. The Souvlaki is very tasty, however one recommendation for the Taverna would be to update the quality of their french fries which have been a bit dull in taste and seemed to be made in oil which has been used for preparing seafood dishes.
But that's just a minor thing, all in all a nice Taverna with good food and reasonable prices. Worth visiting...
Read moreColpiti dalle recensioni siamo andati, caratteristica e verace locanda, schietta proprio come è stata descritta dagli utenti.
