BE AWARE! DON'T GO! Seafood defrosted in a microwave!

We went there giving good reviews but this place is BEYOND BAD.

We heard the microwave working non stop after we ordered our food. He was defrosting mussels, octopus and shrimps in it!!!

Also we ordered grilled 3 cheeses and it was made in a microwave!!!

Everything SWIMS in oil!

On top of that when I told the owner that food is no good and we saw it being made in a microwave he said: "How else do you heat up the food???"

He started yelling at me and arguing claiming this is a local restaurant not high end and I am depending too much. Well prices are definitely not local Octopus is 12 Euro and so are the shrimps.

And just to have cherry on top there was a cat right next to us that brought a dead bird and was eating it on the floor while owner saw it and didn't do...

The best Cretean Food preparied with heart. Simple, fresh produce which tastes amazing. There is no better food in Eastern Crete. Owners are very welcome and lovely. There is no better place to be. Highly recommended when you are in the area or if you spend holidays in Palekastro.
