Cafe Stathmos — Restaurant in Municipality of Sparta

Thrown out!!!! They were playing football on both TV screens. Hardly anyone was watching instead chatting with each other. I just wanted to have a quiet beer and read the newspaper. In order to try and drown out the football ⚽ commentary I put some Greek music on my phone. It wasn't loud. To my surprise the volume on the TV screens was then turned up soooooo loud the floor vibrated!!! When I complained the owner came over to say my smart phone was too loud. So, why didn't he politely say so, prior to blasting us all by turning up the volume on the football commentary??? Therefore, I had no choice but to leave my beer 🍺 (which I had hardly touched) and vacate the premises. Sad, as I have been a customer, together with my friends, for many years. So don't go to this cafe unless you are a football fanatic!!! They don't like customers who don't share...

Μια μικρή όαση αισθητικής σε αυτό το υπέροχο χωριό αποτελεί το συγκεκριμένο καφέ. Επιτέλους! Ιδιοκτήτες και προσωπικό με χαμόγελο, εξυπηρετικοί και ευγενείς, σεβόμενοι τον πελάτη, που θέλει να καθίσει και να απολαύσει πέραν των εδεσμάτων και ένα ωραία φιλόξενο κλίμα. Μία πίτσα καταπληκτική, με ζυμάρι από ό,τι μάθαμε χειροποίητο, της μητέρας των ιδιοκτητών. Καθαρά όλα, οικονομικά, με ποικιλία που μπορεί να καλύψει 3-4 ώρες παραμονής εκεί, από τον πολύ εύγευστο καφέ τους, μέχρι κάποιες εξαιρετικές ποικιλίες και όχι μόνο....
