I found this restaurant through Google Maps and it appeared to be the closest one near our vacation stop. I saw the menu pictures and it appeared delicious. My order was a takeout since my wife was not feeling well. I spoke to one of the family members of the family owned restaurant (Tony). He spoke English and that was a plus for me. I had my Google translate app ready just in case.
I ordered the potatoes and yogurt (for my wife), vegan burger (actually about 4 patties) and potatoes (French fries) and salad with croutons drizzled in a sweet balsamic vinaigrette. Tony gave us extra herb buttered bread free of charge. The food was delicious and the portions were plenty for us two. We were only able to have half of the salad, 3.5 vegan burger patties, 2-3 herb buttered bread and some potatoes (French fries). We did not even touch the large portions of herbed baked potatoes with yogurt. We had that the next day.
I think the food was great and inside the restaurant was quiet spacious. They were getting ready for a wedding reception later that evening and a community event the next day that may be about 200+ people! This place is a happening place. If you are ever in the city/town of Artemis, I encourage you to drop on by. This city/town is close by the airport and coming here will not be a...
Read moreEnjoyed MITEPAN greatly! A family owned restaurant of 30+ years, we met Bill and his family, and they were gracious enough to allow us to have an early dinner or late lunch, since we came on Christmas Eve and they were sold out for the dinners that many families were going to be served that evening. We savored delicious lamb and codfish, as our main dishes, while first enjoying authentic salad of regional fare, capping it off with complimentary melamakarono, Christmas cookies, and rakomelo, digestive spirit, and ending with pleasant and engaging conversation with Bill, the owner. Since we arrived so late for lunch (early for dinner) we had the whole place to ourselves which was decked out with holiday lights and spirit. Unfortunately, we were not going to be around for the awesome music and plenty of dancing that was going to done that evening. I'm certain it was going to be a blast in the best of the traditional Greek way! If you are visiting the area, make sure you stop if for a bite or sumptuous authentic meal, and meet Bill and his family. They are a wonderfully warm, friendly and gracious family. Hope one day to come back and visit this...
Read moreThis restaurant was recommended by the people in the lower apartment. It was an 8 min. walk from Dia’s. I ordered a Greek salad, no onions, and it was HUGE! And delicious with a giant piece of feta on top. I also ordered a Burger and potatoes, and it was HUGE, so well cooked, juicy - I could only eat 1/2 of it. I also ordered a mousaka to take out for dinner, so I didn’t have to walk around at night. Can’t wait to taste it. The service was perfect, the restaurant was very non-busy at 2 pm. My eating times are off from the time change. I enjoyed a lovely glass of white wine blend, and they brought out a small ice cream - caramel flavor, I think for dessert. The chef/owner (?) was very pleasant...
