To Kyma Coffee & More — Restaurant in Municipality of Symi

Unfortunately today it was confirmed what is happening on this beautiful island in relation to water pollution. We were at the beach with my extended family having a great time. During the day we saw rented boats coming up and drop anchor very close to the beach among the swimmers and young children. The swimmers were waving them off and yelling at them to go further away from the shore because of the safety hazard and pollution. They ignored everything and stayed put. The passengers of the boat jumped into the sea and swam to the shore and shooted straight to the cafe Kyma. We saw the owners Michalis and Irini greeting them with joy and preparing their drink/snack order. They did not care that those boats were polluting the waters at the seafront, nor that all swimmers had to come out to seashore because of those boats. It's shocking to see this happening daily in order to earn extra 50 -100€, they allow and completely disregard the pollution of the sea and above all the safety of...

Located in a peaceful place, not heavily crowded (for June month at least). We had a couple of drinks and they were great, snacks we had were really decent too. The sunbeds are FOR FREE and I should really highlight this. I also hope this policy will remain in the future too. The stuff was polite and the good care of us!

Yes there are some boats close to the shore but there is also a small marine on the side in front of the neighbouring tavern. If there are idiots parking very close to the shore it is not the business fault. However, they should put swim zone buoys so everyone is safe and happy. The owners could inform the authorities.

I love this place. It's a nice alternative to the traditional Greek taverns. They have simpler fare that's good for kids and adults. The salad was really good, my bf had the pizza, I had chicken strips and fries. All good snack bar food and they have a great drink selection. (Alcoholic and tons of non alcoholic, even low calorie) I also had sorbet and chocolate ice cream, really light and fluffy! We stayed next door for 5 nights last year and met the owners then. They're super friendly, funny and helpful. Zero complaints. We came back this year and we will come back next. Thanks again guys!
