Nikolas Taverna — Restaurant in Municipality of Syros and Ermoupoli

My girl and I were looking for a place to have dinner and we found this place thanks to google, the people who had dinner here wrote good reviews, so that we decided to check all that good comments.

The place is a little bit far from Ermoupoli and reachable only by car, but is privilegedly well located in the top of a hill with an amazing view and a go-cart race track that seems to be out of service

The carpark has enough room for all its guests and has a large outdoor seating area, but if you think the outdoor area does not match with you, there is an indoor place with a chimney where you can seat comfortable and have your delicious food, because this place definitely have the best lamb of Syros.

When we arrived here, we were the first ones and the friendly owner attended us and guide us to a table in the outdoor seating area with a pretty nice view, but unfortunately the day was too windy and cold and moved to a more warmer place.

The crew of the place was friendly, polite and helped with all our request.

We visited the restaurant on 17/8 expecting to enjoy a meal during our holidays. Instead, my husband suffered severe food poisoning, which required hospitalization. It is completely unacceptable for an establishment to put its customers’ health at risk.

Beyond this incident, the behavior of the staff was unprofessional. They tried to overcharge us for the dishes, and the steaks served were of poor quality. We were never properly informed about the pricing (e.g., charged per half kilo).

A serious establishment should demonstrate responsibility, transparency, and respect toward its customers. We came to the island to enjoy our holidays, not to be running to hospitals. Unfortunately, this experience left us with nothing but disappointment and frustration. We will not visit this restaurant again and cannot recommend...
