Perhaps it was a bad day for it, but the paella wasn’t very good. In fact, I think the worst one I’ve had so far. The base concept of the paella is that the whole process is done in one dish, the broth, the cooking of the rice, and the final crusting. It seemed like here, the pan was just used for presentation, and the slushy mixture completely missed out on the crusting/baking, a very characteristic part of a good paella. Perhaps what is sad about it, is that even though we are a little far from spain’s east coast, all the ingredients and possibility is available in greece to make a good paella, and the idea of serving it here isn’t a bad one. Would just recommend improving it, at least to an enjoyable level for consumption. I’d also recommend videos on youtube, there is even a documentary about the making of traditional paella in Valencia, with a very nice explanation of the recipe and its origins.

Additionally, after a week of travellig around the peloponnese, this has been our second most expensive dinner. I do not think the prices reflect the quality, the service or the atmosphere in this case.

Authentic savours in a great location! It's a little tavern right by the shore, run by a Greek-Spanish family (you can see the waving flags of Greece, Spain and Galicia), with organic vegetables from their own garden, local products and "mama-made" cooking, which is all we ever need! We had a lovely experience and meal here with Maria and Panillotis, like being back in Spain again with a Greek twist. They invited us into their house to share a meal and a lot of conversation, even though it was out of season. We returned for coffee this morning and some homemade cake which was delicious. When my coffee wasn't hot enough, Maria made me another which was perfect!! Would strongly recommend coming here for a lovely experience in a beautiful place...
