Hidden Gem. Please visit. Located at a quiet area which is currently unknown by tourists, Κληματαριά is a hidden gem. Fresh local products are used for delicious meals at acceptable prices next to a beautiful view and colder temperatures. The little town of Καστανιά (Kastania) is made out of stone and has rich history which is worth learning about. It feautures some churches and amazing views. It is a really good destination to take a relaxing walk with extremely clear air. My family and I went there once and ended up going to eat every night afterwards for the rest of our vacation. It opens from 8pm and always has a table. It's a place where you say "If you know, you know". It is worth visiting.

Arrived too early to eat, so enjoyed Greek coffee, the only sort available, smother than many an expresso or cappuccino. Remember to stop before you reach the bottom. This looks like a good local Taverna, one of two on the centre of the village overlooked by a restored tower house and an 18th century church. We had a wonderful lunch at this Greek restaurant. The environment is beautiful and welcoming, with a truly authentic atmosphere. We enjoyed tsatsiki, meatballs with fries, giant beans, and lachanodolmades — everything was fresh, flavorful, and absolutely delicious.
