Amazing quiet place away from the city of Kalamata to spend the day at the beach. The lounge chairs are really comfortable and the service is amazing. The menu is reasonable priced and the food was good not great. The beach is a combination of sand and rocks but still easy to enter the water. Wear swing shoes if that makes you feel uncomfortable walking on rocks to enter. The view is breathtaking and a great place to forget about the outside world. A beautiful beach, but the owner of this bar is just utterly greedy. Barely any people there in september, when you come at 5 pm they still want 15 - 30 Euro only for their sunbeds. This is totally untypical for greece and especially this area. I can only recommend to take one of the basic sunbeds at the left of the bar and take them behind their beer banners or bring your own chairs, then you are out of their service zone and can stay for free. While a short drive out of Kalamata, the route is scenic enough that it doesn't feel like a drag. Ακτή bar provides 2 different experiences - the on the beach experience and by the pool experience.
