Great little taverna and the real reason for visiting the village of Pigi. You will not be able to drive to Stathis's unless you have a small car and a very steady nerve. The streets are narrow and the walls on either side very unforgiving. Better to park at the start of the village and walk down. The food is Greek style starters, all food with big portions and the mains are grilled. The local wine is perfectly good as is the local beer. The bill left me trying to work out what they hadn't charged for but when I realised they had included everything it was very cheap. There are views of the gorge and the restaurant sits on the edge but I don't think they warrant a special visit to see them, Stathis's does. Music on some nights and just good simple food and good drink every night. Overall a really nice meal best...

You choose what to eat and they serve it to the table. After that you could order grilled meats - pork, beef, chicken or lamb. There's a compliment on the house after the meal. The only downside is that prices are never announced - you see them on the final bill. But...
Read moreWe visited this restaurant on a Thursday as we were told that there is live music tuesdays and thursday. This place does not seem to be a secret anymore as it was very full. But not only of tourist, locals can be found there as well. Don't worry, there always seems to be a free table. There is no menu. You can have meat from the barbecue, unfortunately they offer no fish, and a big range of the so called mezze: grilled vegetables, tzatziki, beet root dip, bread, smashed potatoes, salads, etc. It was very very good and tasty. Plus the music created an exuberant atmosphere as such the locals started to dance. We enjoyed...
