This new restaurant just 10 minutes drive up the mountain behind Petra is the best place we have visited for Greek cuisine ever! The view is fantastic, stretching across the whole area and out to sea. We visited in September and went twice—walking there on both occasions: once from Petra and a few days later from Mythimna. As long as you’re reasonably fit, the walks are a real pleasure (we’re both in our 60s and enjoyed them very much). Wat een verrassing, dit piepjonge restaurantje boven Petra: Cloud 10 doet zijn naam eer aan – je waant je werkelijk even op een wolk.

Met een adembenemend uitzicht over Petra en Anaxos is het alleen al qua locatie een pareltje. Maar wat Cloud 10 echt bijzonder maakt, is de combinatie van voortreffelijk eten en een hartverwarmende bediening. Alles wat op tafel kwam, was met zorg bereid en smaakt goed.

De bediening is uiterst vriendelijk, bescheiden en oprecht gastvrij – iets wat zeldzaam goed voelt.

Ondanks dat ze pas 1,5 maand open zijn, zat het restaurant tijdens ons bezoek al helemaal vol – en dat begin juni! Reserveren is dus zeker aan te raden. Maar nog belangrijker: een bezoek aan Cloud 10 is een absolute aanrader als je in de buurt van Petra bent.
