English / Italiano (più avanti)
We are Italians, but I write this review in English because I believe that everybody have to take its own advantage from our experience visiting this taverna. The place itself is fascinating... You reach the central square of the village walking after parking somewhere else due to the narrow streets that jeopardize the car safety that you are driving. The menu is typical of any taverna in Greece... Nothing seems to be different. But the quality of the meal is really interesting. All you eat seems to be prepared at home. At the end, I suggest you to drink the "sweet wine of Samos" (made by their own family)... The owner and his family they all are so kind... They merit all the success they have.
ITALIANO Il posto ha un suo fascino. Si raggiunge dopo una breve camminata avendo parcheggiato l'auto da un'altra parte (la strada è molto stretta e non c'è dove lasciarla). The host brought out an additional taste of another local specialty stew of potatoes, peas and carrots which had a nice hearty flavour. The local white wine we sampled was also delicious. We're so glad we chose to stop and share a meal at Leon...we definitely recommend it for those wanting to experience local home cooked cuisine while visiting the...
Read moreΝΤΡΟΠΗ ΤΟΥΣ! Shame on them to serve such food! Very disappointing as at winter time the food was delicious but now in the summer season they don’t seem to care. The biftekia were very bad quality of meat and served burned! We didn’t eat any of them and neither the cats 🐈 did, which were wondering around the square of Platanos. The pork stake was the worst ever in my life! Also was served burned and nobody could chew it! The pork sticks (kalamakia), very bad in quality… you can definitely eat much better anywhere else! Very dissatisfied and never going back again ☹️ The service was done from two lovely and very young kids who were the only ones who knew how to do...
